The acceptance of the water filtration system of the first four secondary schools in Da Nang.

On November 7, 2018, at the Nguyen Luong Bang Secondary School, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City, the acceptance ceremony of the four drinking water filtration systems for the four secondary schools in Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City, took place. This was the first phase of the project “Clean Drinking Water for Vietnamese Schools” which has been committed by Coca-Cola to support secondary schools in Da Nang for 5 years from 2018 to 2022. The project also continued the project “Clean Water for Community” that Coca-Cola has implemented over the past 10 years.

The project was executed by CFC Vietnam Family Health and Community Development Center. The four water purification systems costed a total value of 892 million VND, studied and developed by Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, and installed at four secondary schools in Lien Chieu District, including: Nguyen Luong Bang Secondary School, Dam Quang Trung Secondary School, Nguyen Thai Binh Secondary School and Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary School. This was also the first time the high-capacity tap water filtration system (3000l/day) was installed for secondary schools in Danang.

The quality of water resources were assessed and verified by Quatest 2 Quality Measurement Testing Center to ensure water sources of all the systems to qualify QCVN 01: 2009 / BYT by Ministry Health regulations.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of Da Nang Department of Education and Training, representatives of Lien Chieu Military Education Department, the principals of four school beneficiaries, together with the sponsor of Coca-Cola, CFC Vietnam, and HCM University of Industry.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Lu Thi Kim Hoa, Director of Lien Chieu District Education Department, was very happy and presented her wish that the project will keep continue expanding to support other secondary schools in Lien Chieu district, as well as other schools in Da Nang.

Mr. Pham Thanh Buu, the pricipal of the Nguyen Luong Bang secondary school, representative for the four beneficiary schools in 2018, and thanked to the sponsor and said “From now on, the schools can confidently provide clean drinking water for students, also having a huge saving on bying drinking water, and easy access to clean water.”
