THE HAND OVER CEREMONY OF THE CLEAN DRINKING WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM 2018


On September 05, 2018, the handover and acceptance ceremony of the clean drinking water filtration system was held at Quang Lang Secondary School, Phu Xuyen District, Hanoi, in the joy of welcoming new students of the 6th grade. Together with the opening ceremony of the new school year during 2018-2019, teachers, students, parents and representatives of the government were all there to participate.

The clean drinking water filtration system is funded by Coca-Cola Beverage Company, under the project “Clean Drinking Water for Vietnamese Schools,” which was installed by the Institute of Technology of Hanoi University of Industry. This is the direct drinking water filtration system from the tap, which applies new technology, with an industrial capacity of 3000 liters/day, that researched, developed and manufactured by the Hanoi University of Industry with the advice and support of professional technicians.

Attending the ceremony, Ms. Luong Bich Phuong Anh – Representative of Coca-Cola sponsor, Ms. Au Thi Hong Anh – Representative of Vietnam Center for Family Health and CFC Community Development, and Mr. Nguyen Quang Dinh – Representative of Hanoi University of Industry, were presented.

The performances of the collective dance music were brought along with the costumes of the teachers and the students to celebrate both of the opening new school year ceremony and the handover ceremony of the water filtration system–it brought cheerful, charming, lively and beautiful features.

The Principal, Nguyen Thi Quynh Nga, gave the opening speech and expressed her gratitude as a beneficiary, quoted: “The Quang Lang Secondary School, Phu Xuyen District, is honored to be the one of four secondary schools in the Phu Xuyen District, Hanoi, was selected as a beneficiary school in the project “Clean Drinking Water for Vietnamese Schools” sponsored by Coca-Cola Vietnam. The clean water source of Phu Xuyen district is still polluted; the demand for clean water for the people is not guaranteed. Thus, having this high-tech water filtration system, the water is treated and qualified QCVN 06 – 1: 2010 of the Ministry of Health, accredited by QUATEST, can be used to drink directly from the tap, is a practical support for the school’s students and teachers. From now on, the school can actively provide clean drinking water for students. Also, the students’ parents save more from buying drinking water bottles, and having access to safe and clean drinking water. ”

Next, Pham Phuong Anh, the representative of the school’s students, expressed his joy and thanks to the Coca-Cola sponsor who brought clean drinking water to the school and promised to join the teachers in using and preserving the system carefully.

Ms. Luong Bich Phuong Anh, the representative of the Coca-Cola Sponsor, also gave a speech to congratulate the opening ceremony of the new academic year, and sent best wishes to the teachers and students of the Quang Lang Secondary School for a new school year with many new joys and achievements. Additionally, she expressed the joy of handing over the clean drinking water filtration system to the school, and also reminded the importance of using and operating the system properly at the school, in order to prolong the length of usage of the system. After the speech, Ms. Phuong Anh officially gave the symbol to the representative of the school Quang Lang, the principal Quynh Nga.

To conclude the ceremony, the representative of Coca-Cola sponsor, the representative of the Center for Family Health and Community Development, the representative of Hanoi University of Industry, accompanied with the principal, teachers and students, went to try out the drinking water filter system to drink water directly from the tap with joys and smiles on the face.

The ceremonies at the Quang Lang secondary school were successfully held.

In September, we will keep proceeding to hand over three more water filtration systems for the last three secondary schools in Phu Xuyen district, Hanoi.
