The Clean Drinking Water Project for Hanoi 2019-2020 has successfully installed and put into use 5 clean drinking water posts directly at flower gardens and parks in the center of Hoan Kiem district. The project was started in mid-2019, funded by Coca-Cola Vietnam and DuPont, coordinated by CFC Vietnam and produced by Wasol. The water pillars are designed to be compact and modern in harmony with the general landscape of Hanoi. The water cylinder capacity is up to 80 liters/hour, the output water quality meets the drinking water standards at the tap of the Ministry of Health. This is one of the the first product that combines UF and reverse osmosis technology with 2 faucets including direct water intake and bottle water intake.
05 water poles were respectively installed and put into use from the end of 2019 to mid-2020 amid the Covid-19 epidemic raging in the world, the project also went through a difficult period due to social distancing measures. to prevent the spread of the disease. Overcoming obstacles, with the direction of the Hanoi People’s Committee, the advice and support of the People’s Committee of Hoan Kiem District, the Department of Construction, the project has completed the first phase with 05 water pillars in Hang Trong Flower Garden. , Garden Opera House, Book Street, Con Coc Garden and Cathedral.
The people of the capital, tourists.. are all very welcome to the presence of water pillars, it is not difficult to see motorbike taxi drivers, working people often come to collect water for use. Not only alleviate some of the difficulties for low-income people and tourists, but water poles also contribute to reducing plastic waste released into the environment.
