On the afternoon of Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in the modern and vibrant setting of the University of Education \u2013 Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-UED), the thematic seminar \u201cApplying Artificial Intelligence in Education \u2013 Practical Implementation and Lessons Learned\u201d was successfully held.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

More than just a project closing event, the seminar became a gathering place for passionate educators and partners who came together to envision a future where technology and humanity go hand in hand.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

    In the opening remarks, a congratulatory message from Mr. Piti Srirangnam<\/strong>, Executive Director of the ASEAN Foundation, highlighted the importance of preparing the younger generation with an AI-ready mindset, while also recognizing the impressive achievements and positive impact of the AI Ready ASEAN project.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

    Powerful Impact and \u201cSpeaking\u201d Numbers<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\r\n

    The discussion session offered a comprehensive look into Vietnam\u2019s educational transformation journey through the AI Ready ASEAN project. Ms. Nguyen Phuong Linh (CFC Vietnam)<\/strong> shared the project\u2019s impressive achievements and impact in Vietnam.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

      • More than 204,352 beneficiaries reached<\/strong>, far exceeding the project\u2019s initial expectations.<\/li>\r\n \t
      • The project placed a strong emphasis on inclusivity<\/strong>, with 53.51% female participation<\/strong>, ensuring that no one was left behind \u2014 including students from disadvantaged areas and persons with disabilities.<\/li>\r\n \t
      • The project also demonstrated exceptional implementation capacity, with the intensive training indicator reaching 791% of the original target<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n \t

        From local implementation experience, Mr. Hoang Van Thao<\/strong> (Lang Son Department of Education and Training) delivered an inspiring presentation on the \u201cripple effect\u201d model. Lang Son transformed the challenges of a mountainous province into opportunities by successfully training more than 15,000 teachers<\/strong> and helping 123,829 students<\/strong> gain access to digital citizenship knowledge. Practical, hands-on skills such as prompt writing, AI-powered lesson planning, and AI video creation<\/strong> directly addressed teachers\u2019 real challenges and unlocked their creativity.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

        Redefining the Role of AI: From a Tool to a \u201cCo-Creation Partner\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\r\n

        At the seminar, Dr. Ton Quang Cuong<\/strong> shared insightful perspectives on Digital Competence<\/strong> and Digital Citizenship Competence<\/strong>. AI is no longer just a virtual assistant \u2014 it is gradually becoming a \u201cco-creation partner\u201d<\/strong>, helping personalize learning pathways and improve productivity. This reinforces a key message: AI will not replace teachers; however, teachers who use AI may replace those who do not.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n
